Boston, MA. International law firm Nixon Peabody LLP is pleased to announce that Fred A. Kelly, Jr., has been named to the Board of Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS).
The organization provides free civil legal assistance to low-income people in Boston and thirty-one additional cities and towns throughout Massachusetts. GBLS offers assistance to individuals, families and community groups ranging from basic legal advice to full case representation, depending on client need. GBLS regularly appears in court, before agencies, and before city councils and the state legislature. The organization also provides community legal education.
Mr. Kelly, a partner in the firm’s Boston office and a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group, works extensively with companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology industries. He is an experienced trial attorney who litigates cases involving the issues facing those industries, and who also counsels companies on legal issues such as the movement of skilled scientists and executives, the licensing and protection of confidential and proprietary information, product advertising and promotion, and the drafting and implementation of supply, technology transfer, and partnering agreements.
