John Witmeyer concentrates in estate and gift tax planning and estate and trust administration. He is experienced in counseling individuals in planning for the preservation and transmission of their wealth, and representing corporate and individual fiduciaries in estate and trust administration.
Mr. Witmeyer frequently participated as an invited speaker at continuing legal education programs for the state and local bar associations. He was a regular lecturer at the New York State Bankers Association Tax and Estate Planning School, has lectured at the University of Rochester’s Annual Tax Planning Institute, and for many years taught the American College’s estate planning course for Chartered Life Underwriters.
Mr. Witmeyer is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel; and a member of the New York State (Trusts and Estates Section), Florida State, and Monroe County (former member, Executive Council of the Trust and Estate Section) Bar Associations; and of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester.
