Anthony Chow is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Contentious Construction and Planning practice. He has extensive experience in arbitration, commercial litigation and in alternative dispute resolution.
While I leverage on my broad-based experience to provide solutions to clients, I focus on my three principal areas of practice.
I represent a wide spectrum of clients including building owners, contractors, developers and project managers. At the initial planning stage, should clients not be satisfied with the authorities’ decisions on zoning, planning or building permission, I represent them in their appeals or review before the tribunals or courts. If there is a dispute during the construction phase, I advise and take action whether by arbitration, mediation or litigation for a cost-effective result to clients.
I represent majority and minority shareholders across a wide range of business sectors and in domestic and cross border shareholders’ disputes in court and in arbitration proceedings. Where possible, I explore alternative dispute resolution to minimize costs but maximize the benefits for clients.
I act for clients in diverse industries in a variety of claims including breach of contract, enforcing employment covenants, adverse possession and recovery of possession of premises. After judgments have been obtained, I take action to enforce the judgments with a view to achieve a result that aligns with the commercial objectives of the clients.
With increasing cross-border transactions, including infrastructure and investment projects, where multi-jurisdictional issues are likely to arise, it is imperative that sound legal advice from different jurisdictions is sought and provided to protect clients’ interests.
