/Representative experience

• Pharmaceutical company: Successfully litigated fraud claim in an expedited six-day bench trial in Delaware Chancery Court against defendant biotech company, with $49 million in damages and pre-judgment interest awarded to our client
• Massachusetts Institute of Technology Professor Gang Chen: Obtained a landmark victory, vindicating Dr. Chen from the Department of Justice’s claims that he had lied about his ties to China
• Large manufacturing company: Advised company facing millions of dollars in fines throughout a months-long investigation by Cal/OSHA’s Bureau of Investigation regarding a workplace fatality, and ultimately resolving the matter with no criminal charges being filed and a minimal penalty of less than $900
• International forest industry company: Implemented motion strategy in AAA arbitration to reduce $500 million trade secret and breach of contract claim to $116 million claim, then prevailed on directed verdict motion after hearing to eliminate any award of monetary damages
• Technology company: Leveraged milestone settlement for a cutting-edge app development company after a ground-breaking patent enforcement campaign against multiple infringers
• Renewable energy company: Defeated a $100 million plus claim arising out of the construction of one of the largest renewable energy projects in the Midwest, and awarded millions in attorneys’ fees following a six-week hearing
• Aircraft manufacturer: Won a unanimous verdict in favor of our client after a three-week trial, in which the jury agreed that our client’s plane was safe and free from defect
