Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody LLP is pleased to announce that Brian Kelly, partner in the firm’s Government Investigations & White-Collar Defense practice, has been named to the 2022 Irish Legal 100.
Founded in 2008 by the Irish Voice newspaper, the Irish Legal 100 recognizes Irish-American attorneys, legal scholars, and members of the judiciary who distinguish themselves as leaders in their field. Previous honorees include U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, and retired Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Based in Nixon Peabody’s Boston office, Brian defends corporations and executives in federal and state investigations of all sorts including healthcare fraud cases, False Claims Act (FCA) allegations, SEC inquiries, internal corporate investigations, insider trading charges, white-collar criminal defense, and NCAA compliance matters. Prior to joining Nixon Peabody, Brian spent many years as part of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in both Boston and San Diego.
Brian has tried numerous federal cases including, most notably bringing the James “Whitey” Bulger case to a successful conclusion, and he recently defended a parent in a month-long trial arising from the Varsity Blues investigation. Brian is an instrumental voice in the firm, helping his clients develop and implement strategies to mitigate their exposure and damages to their reputations and businesses.
