Boston, MA. Industry publication Law.com has selected Nixon Peabody’s Government Investigations & White-Collar Defense practice as the winner of its 2023 New England Legal Award for “Litigation Department of the Year – Specialty” in the “White Collar” category.
In addition, Law.com selected two Nixon Peabody attorneys for individual awards: Manchester, New Hampshire, partner Mark Knights for “Social Impact” and Providence associate Aaron Nadich for “New Leaders in the Law.” Presented in conjunction with the Connecticut Law Tribune, Law.com’s New England Legal Awards celebrate professional excellence in law in Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
Nixon Peabody’s Government Investigations & White-Collar practice and attorneys are regularly ranked among the best in the nation. Chambers USA recently ranked the practice in Band 1 for Massachusetts, listing the Nixon Peabody practice as one of the top three in the state. The group has notched a number of recent high-profile wins, including the reversal of a parent’s conviction in the Varsity Blues college admissions case and the vindication of Massachusetts Institute of Technology Professor Gang Chen.
Mark Knights, recipient of the “Social Impact” award, is a member of Nixon Peabody’s Government Investigations & White-Collar Defense practice. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving federal and state laws, maintains an active pro bono practice, and serves as vice chairperson of the New Hampshire Children’s Trust. Mark is currently leading a team that joined a proposed class action lawsuit against the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services for its mismanagement of a Medicaid Waiver program that provides at-home services to disabled adults and seniors.
Aaron Nadich, named as a “New Leader in the Law,” is a member of Nixon Peabody’s Labor & Employment practice, representing companies in federal and state court and advising on a range of employment issues. He has earned recognition from several industry publications for his professional excellence in labor and employment law, most recently being named to the 2023 “Ones to Watch” list by The Best Lawyers in America®.
