Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody LLP has once again expanded its Affordable Housing & Real Estate practice with the addition of counsel R. Lindsay Wilson II, who focuses his practice on commercial real estate and business law.
Based in the firm’s Boston office, Lindsay rejoins Nixon Peabody after working at the firm from 2000 to 2007.
Lindsay has a wide range of experience in all facets of real estate law, including acquisition, development, financing, zoning, and permitting of office, retail, resort, and residential real estate projects. He has significant experience representing both landlords and tenants in retail, office, and industrial leasing and subleasing transactions throughout the United States, as well as representing banks and other financial institutions with respect to both healthy and distressed real estate financing.
In addition, Lindsay also advises institutional and private owners, investors, and developers of real estate with respect to deal structuring, private equity investment, and general corporate matters.
“Lindsay brings a wide range of experience and deep knowledge across all aspects of the real estate industry,” said Christopher Froeb, leader of the firm’s Affordable Housing & Real Estate practice. “His skillset complements the high level of service we provide for real estate clients, both in the Boston area and nationally. We are thrilled to have him on the team.”
Prior to rejoining Nixon Peabody, Lindsay co-founded a boutique law firm and previously served in senior management and as general counsel to a New England-based real estate development company. His responsibilities included overseeing the permitting of a large-scale mixed-use development, developing a “traditional neighborhood designed” residential subdivision, and managing both litigation and transactional outside counsel.
“Lindsay is a strong addition to our talented group of real estate attorneys in Boston,” said Jim Vallee, managing partner of Nixon Peabody’s Boston office. “We’re always opportunistic about adding talent, and it’s an additional advantage when a former Nixon Peabody attorney returns to our firm.”
Lindsay earned his JD from University of Notre Dame Law School and his BS from Messiah University.
