Elizabeth Chiapperi
Chief Knowledge Officer
Introduction
Liz Chiapperi is Nixon Peabody’s Chief Knowledge Officer. With more than 25 years in the information and legal industries, Liz provides leadership and strategic direction for the Library & Research, New Business & Conflicts, Media Services and Knowledge Management functions.
My focus
I am inspired by the smart, talented and dedicated team that surrounds me. Together we have a fundamental drive to do good work as a team for our clients, both internal and external. Our team brings life to data through analysis, insight and creative visuals to benefit our attorneys and clients.
Smart Research
Clients want attorneys who know them, understand their business needs and their industry issues. As the world rapidly changes, our clients expect their attorneys to be at the forefront. Through leadership and a commitment to a vision, I have developed a team of research professionals who support our lawyers by providing them with critical, relevant real-time company, industry and market intelligence to help them stay ahead of emerging issues and developing trends that affect clients.
Visual Presentations
Understanding the modern audience and focusing on the power of story telling and artful visuals, our team of graphic artists and web designers work closely with attorneys and clients to transform complex and technical subject matter or disjointed data into visually engaging and clear and effective presentations and demonstrative exhibits.
Operational Excellence
My team and I are accountable for the operational practices and system controls associated with new business intake and conflicts review. We work collaboratively as a team and with the attorneys to ensure we deliver a high quality work product while appropriately balancing a risk landscape of increasing compliance requirements and professional standards with our commitment to responsive client service.
Looking ahead
The intersection of information and technology is fueling an era of big data and I am excited about the new possibilities this convergence brings to both the business and practice of law for the benefit of the firm and our clients.
