Marc Crisafulli builds strong corporate and governmental partnerships that power the economic revitalization of our communities, drawing on more than 30 years’ experience as general counsel, law firm managing partner, business executive, and strategic advisor to some of the world’s most successful companies.
For more than three decades, I have served in a variety of executive positions, including roles as general counsel and law firm managing partner. I leverage these experiences to forge mutually beneficial connections among stakeholders, build high-performing teams, and offer strategic advice to businesses’ leadership teams.
Prior to joining Nixon Peabody, I served as executive vice president of government relations, legal, and regulatory for Bally’s Corporation. In this role, our team built a powerful, three-way partnership between Bally’s, IGT, and the State of Rhode Island, resulting in the Marc A. Crisafulli Economic Development Act of 2021, which preserved thousands of jobs and generated $250 million of investment in Rhode Island. I have previously held executive roles at Brightstar Corporation, a wireless services company owned by SoftBank, Suffolk Construction Company, and GTECH Holdings Corporation.
I currently serve as the chair of the Bally’s RI Board, as a director for Priority Technology Holdings (NASDAQ: PRTH), and Pavilion Payments, and as the chair of Rhode Island’s 1-195 Redevelopment District Commission. In addition, I am also a member of the Board of Directors of the Providence Foundation and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.
State and municipal budgets are coming under increasing pressure as the massive infusion of federal funds over the past few years wanes. This will create greater opportunities for creative partnerships between government and business to drive investment in important areas like housing, particularly affordable and work force units, transportation oriented development, and more broadly across several economic development and policy initiatives.
