Introduction
My focus
Patent Litigation
Leveraging my chemical engineering and chemistry backgrounds, I help clients resolve patent disputes across a wide range of areas, including small molecule, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical therapeutics, polymer and membrane technologies, medical devices, scientific instruments, green and nanotechnologies, water treatment, and design patents. I also have substantial experience in cannabis-related technologies, including the synthesis of cannabinoid derivatives, advanced growth systems, and retail packaging.
Trademark, Trade Secret, and Copyright Litigation
I help clients strategically manage and enforce their intellectual property portfolios, including management and enforcement of their trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. I also assist them in approaching claims of infringement and misappropriation, as well as unfair competition claims and related disputes.
Additionally, I advise clients on patent and trademark prosecution, including drafting applications and portfolio development, and I am experienced with due diligence and opinion work.
Looking ahead
Enforcement actions tend to increase in times of economic uncertainty. This trend, coupled with the billions of dollars now being devoted to pandemic-related innovations and their protection, suggests that we may soon see a substantial uptick in patent litigation actions.
