Introduction
Kristen Fallon represents financial institutions, REITs, and funds in large, commercial, unsecured, and secured credit facilities. She also represents lenders and sponsors in connection with the financing of real estate projects, portfolio lending, unsecured credit facilities, REIT financing, construction lending, loan participations, loan workouts, and restructurings.
My focus
I represent financial institutions in large commercial transactions where the underlying collateral is real estate, regardless of whether we necessarily secure the assets. Many of my transactions involve working with financial institutions on unsecured facilities due to the fact that the sponsor has reached a certain investment-grade status. I advise financial institutions in secured and unsecured credit facilities in the REIT and fund finance space, and I also have significant experience representing banks in data center and healthcare transactions.
I also represent REITs, developers, and funds in the acquisition and financing of various real estate-related projects, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other general corporate matters.
I am excited by the opportunity to represent REITs, developers, and funds in the acquisitions and financing of real estate projects, as well as large borrowing base and unsecured facilities. NP’s national platform will enable me to organically grow my national practice, and the firm’s multi-disciplinary nature will allow me to cross-sell practices to my clients.

Looking ahead
Rising interest rates will tend to stress many existing facilities as they try to navigate this new chapter in real estate finance. Given my extensive experience in real estate lending, being able to assist both financial institutions and debtors during this difficult time will be critical to the survival of some REITs, developers, and funds.
