Introduction
My focus
My practice is focused on all aspects of commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation with an emphasis on patent litigation. I leverage my engineering background and uniquely broad litigation experience to strategically help clients in various IP matters including creation, management, and licensing. I have handled hundreds of lawsuits in state and federal courts for commercial disputes, defense of personal injury cases, insurance coverage disputes, all matter of intellectual property disputes, and patent enforcement and licensing campaigns. I have also helped prepare successful arguments in numerous inter partes review (IPR) in the US Patent and Trademark Office.
I have extensive experience in enforcing patents for clients with significant market share in their respective industries by pursuing litigation.
I work with start-up companies in all stages of development. My experience as a start-up owner provides clients with insights on how to successfully grow a business including building an IP portfolio, making prototypes, starting mass production, and obtaining money from outside investors.
Looking ahead
The rapid pace of technology development and the ability to share information in our society continues to quicken. This pace impacts all aspects of businesses and creates many opportunities for them to grow and obtain competitive advantage in the marketplace, including through legal tools such as IP protection. Meanwhile, I see the need to not allow such developments to distract from maintaining focus on clients’ core values, providing valuable goods and services, and being leaders in our society.
