Introduction
Kasey Hildonen focuses her practice on complex litigation, labor and employment, white collar defense, and government investigations. She represents a broad range of clients, from individuals to large businesses, in a variety of industries in state and federal courts.
My focus
White-collar & Government Investigations
I represent corporations and individuals in state and federal investigations involving Whistleblower and False Claims Act claims, government contract and services misappropriation, political corruption, theft of trade secret allegations and corporate espionage, Medicaid fraud, threats to national security, and immigration fraud, among others.
My prior experience as a New York State Assistant Attorney General has allowed me to manage a diverse caseload and handle all phases of litigation, including investigating allegations; conducting legal research; drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; drafting discovery documents and responses; managing electronic discovery; leading settlement negotiations; and representing clients at conferences, hearings, and trial.
Complex Litigation
I litigate complex commercial and business disputes across a variety of industries, including education, hospitality, health services, and retail, and involve a diverse range of issues including business torts, real property disputes, trade secrets, data security, labor and employment, and class action litigation.
Representative experience
The below representative experience includes representations from prior firms.
- Second-chaired a 10-day jury trial opposing the New York State Office of the Attorney General on client’s claim arising from employment at an educational institution, resulting in a $4.9 million unanimous verdict for client, subsequently settled following appeal.
- Served on team as appointed class counsel in two class actions involving FLSA and New York Labor Law violations committed by two national restaurant chains, resulting in $4 million and $3.5 million settlements.
Looking ahead
