My focus
Private Clients
As a member of Nixon Peabody’s Private Clients group, my responsibilities include the administration of estates and trusts; the preparation and filing of estate tax returns; the collection, valuation, transfer and distribution of assets; the administration of trusts; and the calculations used in the estate administration and planning process.
Immigration
As a member of Nixon Peabody’s Immigration team, I work with a wide range of clients from startups to large multinational corporations to successfully navigate the complexities involved with the securing of non-immigrant visa, permanent residence, labor certification and naturalization. I help design strategies to fit each client’s unique business needs while offering cost-effective solutions.
Representative experience
- Obtained L-1 visas for foreign nationals establishing their company's initial office within the U.S.
- Secured P-1 visas for members of a French theater troupe invited by a leading U.S. theater company to debut their original production.
- Prepared multifaceted gift tax planning calculations to quantify the short term and long term economic effect to a high net worth family contemplating making a variety of substantial taxable gifts.
- Formulated post-death tax planning to minimize the estate tax due currently and/or at the death of the surviving spouse.
Looking ahead
I continue to follow estate tax and immigration reform legislation in order to be prepared to help our clients identify opportunities and changes that affect their situation.
