Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody LLP has appointed partner Jason Kravitz to lead the global law firm’s newly formed Privacy & Technology practice group, which includes the firm’s Cybersecurity & Privacy team. That team helps businesses address critical privacy and security issues, including data protection, breach preparation and response, location-specific regulatory requirements, and litigation and enforcement matters at the federal and state levels.
Based in Nixon Peabody’s Boston office, Jason is a trial lawyer and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) who previously co-led the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. In addition to litigating privacy-related disputes, Jason focuses his practice on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, false advertising, and software implementation disputes.

Jenny Holmes, based in Nixon Peabody’s Rochester, New York, office, serves as deputy leader of the practice. Her practice involves developing and implementing system-wide privacy and security plans for numerous companies of various sizes and creating response plans that address the mandates of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the NY SHIELD Act, among others.
Over his highly celebrated career, Jason has successfully led teams in high-profile and high-stakes privacy, IP, and technology disputes—and proudly represented two Nobel laureates. He has tried cases in courts across the country.
