Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody LLP is pleased to announce the addition of partners Jonathan Winnick and Michael Tentindo, expanding one of the legal profession’s premier Corporate Trust teams.
Both Jonathan and Mike represent major financial institutions and trust companies, serving as indenture trustee, owner trustee, collateral agent, intercreditor agent, account bank, paying agent, administrative agent, exchange agent, tender agent, escrow agent, and other agency and fiduciary capacities in a broad range of financing and restructuring transactions. This includes corporate and municipal debt issuances and project financing transactions.
Jonathan comes full circle to Nixon Peabody, having previously worked as an associate in the firm. Both partners will be based in the firm’s Boston office.
“Many of our attorneys have worked alongside and across from Jonathan and Mike for a long time, and their well-established practice nicely complements our group,” said Catherine Ng, co-leader of Nixon Peabody’s Global Finance practice, which includes the Corporate Trust team. “In addition, their experience on project finance transactions further diversifies the types of transactions we advise on.”
Jonathan has extensive experience representing clients in project financings, corporate and municipal issuances of debt, private placements, escrow arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, and asset-backed securitizations. His project finance work has a particular focus on cross-border transactions in Latin America. In addition, he advises corporate trust clients on the development of product-related policies and procedures, and other risk management and regulatory compliance matters.
In addition to his corporate trust practice, Mike has developed a deep background in business aviation matters, representing owners, operators, lenders, manufacturers, and other financial institutions in all aspects of the purchase, sale, leasing, financing, and operation of business aircraft and fractional aircraft interests. He is on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Business Aviation Association and has been recognized multiple times as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in aviation and as a “Top Lawyer” in aviation by Boston Magazine. He also has significant experience in representing companies throughout their corporate lifecycles, including pre-incorporation planning, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financing transactions, structuring and negotiating complex commercial transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.

Jonathan earned his JD, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and his BA, cum laude, from Bowdoin College.
Mike earned his JD, cum laude, from American University, Washington College of Law, where he was editor of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law. He received his BS, magna cum laude, from Boston University.
