Washington, DC. Nixon Peabody LLP has expanded its Complex Disputes practice with the addition of complex commercial civil litigator and trial lawyer Brian Hill, who joins the firm as counsel.
Based in the firm’s Washington, DC office, Brian has more than 28 years of experience representing clients on complex commercial cases in federal and state courts nationwide, international arbitrations, and internal and government investigations.
“Brian has significant experience representing clients in complex civil litigation matters across nearly every industrial sector,” said John Ruskusky, leader of the firm’s Complex Disputes practice. “His vast skill set and ability to handle complex legal issues make him an excellent addition to our practice. Brian’s practice focuses on matters involving commercial disputes, fiduciary and other professional liability, government contract disputes, cybersecurity, business torts, class actions, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the False Claims Act and Qui Tam, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), the Anti-Terrorism Act, and cross-border litigation. He has represented clients across a range of key industries with deep experience in aviation, defense, professional services, healthcare, manufacturing, and nonprofit organizations.
Brian represents domestic and international clients in multi-million-dollar matters involving transnational litigation and discovery, including requests for discovery assistance in foreign actions under 28 U.S.C. § 1782, domestic litigation under the Hague Evidence Convention, and investigations involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
