New York, NY. Nixon Peabody LLP has once again expanded its real estate capabilities with the addition of partner Patrick Tierney, who focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions.
A member of the firm’s Affordable Housing & Real Estate practice, Patrick represents real estate developers, investors, owners, and lenders to help tenants structure, negotiate, and close complex real estate transactions across the country. Patrick’s experience includes joint ventures, development and ground leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, 1031 exchanges, financing, and other real estate transactions. He is based in Nixon Peabody’s New York City office.
“In addition to Patrick’s extensive commercial real estate experience, he brings a strong entrepreneurial spirit, particularly through his background in small business,” said partner Christopher Froeb, leader of Nixon Peabody’s Affordable Housing & Real Estate practice. “Patrick has strong relationships with his clients, and his skill set is a great fit for our practice both in New York and nationally.”
Patrick arrives at Nixon Peabody with nearly two decades of experience across a variety of asset classes, including office, retail, raw land and ground-up developments, hotels, restaurants, residential and mixed-use buildings, medical office buildings, shopping centers, and ski resorts. In addition to his real estate practice, Patrick is an active angel investor, advisor, and mentor.
“As we continue to enhance our real estate development base in New York, Patrick’s experience across commercial, industrial, and large residential projects immediately complements an area of strength for our firm,” said Richard Langan, managing partner of Nixon Peabody’s New York City office. “We are excited to welcome him to our office and the broader firm.”
Patrick earned his JD from George Mason University School of Law and BS from George Mason University.
