On June 4, 2019, members of Nixon Peabody’s Labor & Employment team hosted an overview webinar on “Paid Family and Medical Leave: What Employers in New York, New Jersey, California, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Washington, DC, and Illinois Need to Know.” That webinar provided attendees with a brief summary of the key issues employers operating in those jurisdictions need to know with respect to paid family and medical leave laws.
In September, we launched our Fall 2019 Labor & Employment Webinar series, which served as a follow up to our June webinar. Our Fall series provided more in-depth information on the evolving Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) laws and regulations in Massachusetts, California, Washington, DC, New Jersey, and New York.
Each session, which was moderated by Jeffrey B. Gilbreth, addressed:
- The requirements in each state and what employers must do to comply
- Key terms and conditions of the applicable laws and regulations
Nixon Peabody’s Labor & Employment attorneys are constantly tracking evolving employment laws, market trends, and technological advances to spot what’s next. The constantly evolving legal landscape of Paid Family and Medical Leave laws and regulations represents a specific area where we have developed significant experience. If you have any questions concerning PFML, we encourage you to reach out to the respective presenter.
