Nixon Peabody's Intellectual Property team is taking an active role in shaping the future of entrepreneurship and startups by providing mentorship on patents, trademarks, and branding at the European Innovation Academy (EIA) in Porto, Portugal. The team joined over 500 entrepreneurs from 55+ countries at the 2023 EIA to contribute to the development of startups and equip emerging entrepreneurs with the skills needed to thrive and succeed in a competitive world.
What is the EIA?
EIA stands out as a leading institution in tech entrepreneurship education, renowned for its impactful programs developed through collaborative partnerships with prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley, and Google. As a non-profit organization, EIA has become a beacon for the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. Students at the European Innovation Academy experience a dynamic multicultural environment, connecting with a vast network of over 15,000 alumni and faculty from more than 85 countries, fostering mentorship and collaboration.
Recently, I watched some of the 2022 EIA cohort share their experiences and explain how our team positively impacted their journeys. Their passion and dedication is truly inspiring, and certainly motivates me to continue mentoring at EIA.
