Introduction
Claire Alexander focuses her practice on various commercial and private real estate transactions, primarily those that utilize tax credits to finance the projects. She represents equity investors and syndicators on issues relating to the acquisition, development and operation of projects nationwide.
My focus
I focus my practice on real estate transactions involving federal low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, and public and private financing. I represent equity investors and syndicators in connection with these transactions, and primarily draft and negotiate partnership documents, track due diligence and review equity documents. Additionally, I work to ensure that each transaction runs efficiently while managing our clients’ business and timing expectations.
Looking ahead
I anticipate increased interest in the LIHTC industry as the demand for affordable housing in both urban and rural areas continues to grow. LIHTCs have been incredibly successful since their creation in 1986, and I expect that success will continue for years to come, benefitting individuals nationally.
