Stephanie Ardino is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Private Clients Group.
My experience includes estate planning, where I draft, advise, edit, and implement sophisticated wealth planning strategies. I provide high-net-worth individuals and families with innovative strategies and solutions to preserve, enhance, and transition their wealth. I also have experience with estate administration and trust settlement, and represent both beneficiaries and fiduciaries.
I have experience with estate and trust administration, representing executors and trustees and assisting clients throughout the estate and trust administration process.
I work with high-net-worth individuals and families in developing comprehensive estate plans, including drafting wills, revocable trusts and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare documents. I also advise on estate and tax issues, including generation-skipping transfer tax planning, and estate and gift tax planning.
Potential changes in tax law make it important to have a flexible and thorough estate plan. Understanding these potential changes, in conjunction with any major changes in a client’s life, allows estate planners to ensure a client’s wealth transitions in accordance with their wishes.
This article covers the impact of the recent US Supreme Court ruling in Connelly v. United States. The article references and quotes from a Nixon Peabody alert on the ruling, written by New York City Corporate partner and Tax team member Rick Cox and Private Clients associates Stephanie Ardino of New York City and Joshua Caswell of Boston. Rick, Stephanie, and Joshua discuss how clients and their advisors should recognize that succession planning decisions could affect other arrangements.
