Introduction
Schuyler Armstrong represents developers and owners in all aspects of complex multifamily residential and commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, construction, rehabilitation, financing, and dispositions. A majority of her practice focuses on affordable housing.
My focus
In my practice, I represent developers and owners of multifamily residential projects, particularly those with an affordability component. I have experience representing owners in negotiating development agreements, drafting purchase and sale agreements, securing tax credit allocations and rental subsidies, reviewing due diligence, and negotiating financial documents. I frequently represent owners in their communications with, and requests to, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), state financing agencies, and local governments. Additionally, I counsel clients on corporate matters and joint venture agreements.
Looking ahead
The demand for more housing opportunities, particularly affordable ones, will continue to rise. I am excited to work with owners and developers to create new options while also maintaining existing developments.
