Patrick Doyle advises clients about various intellectual property issues, including patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters.
I focus my practice on representing clients in high-stakes intellectual property disputes, with a particular focus on patent litigation. I routinely use my background in electrical engineering to represent plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving a broad range of technologies, including software, medical devices, semiconductors, key security, speech recognition, mobile gaming, virtual reality, object tracking/RFID, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
I also have experience in handling matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and International Trade Commission.
I can see a multitude of artificial intelligence (AI) issues arising relating to patentability and infringement. How do you fully describe and claim AI and what it creates? Do you have patent rights to anything AI creates? Time will tell.
