Introduction
Aon Hussain is a litigator in Nixon Peabody’s Complex Commercial Disputes practice group. He represents individuals and companies in a variety of commercial disputes in state courts, federal courts, and arbitrations across the country.
My focus
I assist my clients at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit analysis to resolution. My broad experience includes the drafting of complaints, motion practice, conducting discovery, and negotiating settlements. Over the course of my career, I have served on a number of trial teams tackling a wide spectrum of complex commercial disputes and represented clients in appellate litigation.
Commercial Litigation
My practice involves a variety of commercial disputes relating to breach of contract and business torts. I represent businesses of all sizes in lawsuits relating to fraud, statutory claims, breach of fiduciary duty, and other business disputes.
I also represent individuals and businesses in trade secret litigation involving breach of non-compete, non-solicitation, or non-disclosure clauses.
Healthcare Litigation
I defend healthcare companies in lawsuits related to breach of contract, fraud and abuse, prompt pay, and payer-provider disputes.
I also defend medical device manufacturers against product liability lawsuits.
Insurance Litigation
I have significant experience in high-exposure insurance coverage litigation. I have analyzed or litigated a broad array of claims relating to construction disputes, cyber liability, employment practices liability, occupational hazards, product liability, toxic torts, and advertising injury. I have also analyzed or litigated first-party claims concerning business interruption losses and commercial property claims.
Looking ahead
Healthcare providers and payers are facing an increasingly active regulatory landscape. Federal and state rulemaking and enforcement actions may have significant impact on current or potential litigation.
