Brian Kenney’s practice concentrates on mergers, acquisitions, private equity investments and fund formation matters, as well as state and local tax issues. Brian also focuses on financing community development projects through the use of tax credits and other financing sources.
I advise corporate clients on tax matters relating to mergers, acquisitions, fund formation, private equity investments, and other domestic business transactions. I represent local and international firms, investors, and financial intermediaries in federal income tax matters related to capital market transactions. I have extensive experience advising clients on inbound and outbound tax issues relating to investment in real estate. Much of my work also involves helping clients find answers to complex state and local tax issues.
The COVID-19 environment and the legislative response at the federal and state levels has created its own set of tax issues, for companies operating at a domestic or international scope. As the global economy recovers, new investment strategies and emerging opportunities will necessitate prudent and timely tax planning.
