Introduction
Kathleen Mallon is an associate in the firm’s Litigation practice and represents businesses and individuals in a variety of state and federal commercial disputes across the country.
Before joining Nixon Peabody, I was an associate at a law firm in New York City. I am also a former law clerk to the Honorable Robert Spector of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the Honorable Ona T. Wang of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the Honorable Jeanette Rodriguez-Morick of the New York State Supreme Court.
My focus
I represent clients from a diverse range of industries in a variety of civil litigation matters, including commercial, trademark, and copyright cases. I assist in all phases of litigation, including negotiating resolutions of claims at the pre-litigation stage, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting and responding to discovery, and preparing cases for arbitration or mediation. I also have experience drafting and arguing appeals.
Looking ahead
I am following legislative efforts and regulatory enforcement of privacy issues with an eye towards how businesses can enact policies and procedures to limit liability and ensure compliance with various consumer privacy laws.
