Introduction
John McBride represents tax equity investors in affordable housing transactions which utilize the low income housing tax credit (LIHTC).
My focus
I focus my practice on a variety of complex real estate transactions containing a significant tax credit component. I represent tax equity investors and syndicators in structuring affordable housing and renewable energy projects.
Prior to my current practice, I represented major financial institutions and renewable energy developers in their commercial real estate financing and leasing matters. Those experiences give me a unique ability to mitigate risks in complex commercial real estate and finance deals.
Looking ahead
With the national demand for affordable rental housing on the rise, I anticipate continued industry interest in the LIHTC and the real estate acumen required to successfully close transactions.
