Chicago, IL. Nixon Peabody is proud to announce the opening of its new Chicago office. The office represents one of the largest office leases signed in the city during the pandemic. The global law firm remains at 70 West Madison Street in the heart of Chicago’s Loop, moving to a reimagined space on floors 51-53.
“Our new office is an expression of our firm’s culture—collaborative, entrepreneurial, and inclusive—and we are ready to drive client success in an exciting new space,” said David R. Brown, Nixon Peabody’s Chicago office managing partner. “Meeting in-person with clients and colleagues energizes us. It’s important for us to be back in the office, and our new office design is flexible and well-suited for a post-pandemic world.”
Every architectural and design element of the new space reflects the firm’s values. Offering a blend of collaborative and individual work spaces, the office’s floorplan encourages cross-pollination among the firm’s people across its strong legal practices in real estate, corporate, litigation, health care, public finance, intellectual property, and labor & employment, among others.
The new office space will also serve as a hub for in-person and virtual meetings and events with clients and as a place for engaging with the broader community.
Nixon Peabody’s Chicago office is optimized for a variety of work styles and the Chicago firm has one of the most forward-thinking work policies in the legal industry, from hybrid work schedules—a blend of commuting into the office and working remotely—and flextime to fully remote and arrangements in-between.
“Our success with remote work is undeniable, but the best future for Nixon Peabody includes a flexible approach that blends a variety of work styles and work locations,” said Stephen Zubiago, Nixon Peabody’s CEO and managing partner. “This is an exciting new chapter for our firm.”
