Washington, DC. Nixon Peabody LLP partner Kendal Tyre, co-leader of the firm’s Franchising & Distribution team, has co-edited the latest edition of an American Bar Association book on international franchise sales laws.
The third edition of International Franchise Sales Laws describes rules and regulations covering franchise and distribution law in 23 different countries, including the United States and Canada. It serves as a resource for lawyers navigating the complex and rapidly changing international franchise sales law landscape. The book is divided into chapters by each country, providing a comprehensive discussion of their applicable laws along with a practical and easy-to-use compliance reference for counsel.

He represents franchisors throughout their business lifecycle—from startups and middle-market franchisors to mature, global franchise systems. Kendal has extensive experience in negotiating and enforcing complex franchise, licensing, and distribution transactions in the US and other jurisdictions across the world.
Chambers Global recently recognized Kendal as a leader in his field for 2023, and the firm’s Franchising & Distribution team also received global recognition.
