Introduction
Joseph Brady is a senior partner in Nixon Peabody’s Community Development Finance group and a participant in its Private Equity and Investment Funds group. He represents both syndicators raising equity and institutional investors investing equity in the real estate, energy and equipment leasing areas.
My focus
Tax advantaged investing
Currently, I focus in the multi-family tax advantaged investing area, using my 25 plus years of experience to help clients stay ahead of the ever-changing curve of the marketplace. I provide advice and assistance to syndicators who have raised more than a $1B of equity in the aggregate each year.
Renewable energy
Another area in which I provide advice and assistance is in the renewable energy arena, with a primary focus on the solar sector.
Securities law
Finally, I also provide securities law advice to numerous types of issuers where I am able to bring my 30 years plus of securities law experience, including work on the committee that was the source for Regulation D, to bear to provide practical solutions to issuers attempting to raise equity on a private or public basis.
