Representative Experience

• Biomass Electric Generating Facility: Represented the investor in the second tranche of an investment of new market tax credits (NMTCs) and renewable energy tax credits (RETCs) financing the facility in Pepeekeo, Hawaii
• Renewable Energy Solar Project: Represented client as tax equity counsel in the closing of a 108-MW solar project in North Carolina. The 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) is one of the first awarded under Duke Energy’s Competitive Procurement of Renewable Energy (CPRE) Program; based on the expected annual energy production and the Solar Energy Industries Association’s data, the project could provide enough energy for about 15,000 homes in its first year of operation alone and will create approximately 300 jobs during the facility’s construction and operation.
