Introduction
Marissa Espinoza Icochea is an associate in the Healthcare group. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate governance, and business transactions, primarily within the healthcare and life sciences space.
My focus
Mergers & Acquisitions
I represent buyers and sellers in connection with purchasing and selling both domestic and international businesses and assets. I assist in facilitating deals and managing risk for clients by drafting and assisting in the negotiation of transactional agreements and performing due diligence.
General Corporate
I represent clients in the preparation and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial agreements. I also assist clients with entity formation, corporate structuring and restructuring, capital raises, ongoing corporate governance matters, and the dissolution or winding down of their business.
Looking ahead
Over the past year, we’ve seen sustained government interest in healthcare transactions. I believe we will continue seeing federal and state government scrutiny over healthcare transactions, particularly those involving consolidation, as well as an evolving regulatory landscape.
