Ramla Farzad
Senior Director for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Introduction
My focus
As an advocate for greater diversity and inclusion in the legal profession, I develop trainings, social engagement activities, and other programming featuring networking opportunities and inspiring thought leaders.
I also work with the firm’s practice groups and recruiting, professional development, and business development teams to implement and execute mentorship and leadership programs, retention strategies, and affinity networks.
Additionally, I assist firm clients with the development of their own diversity and inclusion programming, trainings, and related initiatives.
Looking ahead
Economic volatility is causing companies to shrink or eliminate DEI budgets, requiring businesses to embrace creativity and imagination to advance diversity and inclusion goals against budgetary headwinds. By taking a holistic, organic approach to DEI goals, inclusion can evolve from line item to company culture—and cost less to implement and maintain.
