Tim Fiester offers business development and litigation support to the firm’s lawyers. His extensive experience includes both the transactional and prosecution side of the intellectual property field as well as litigation. Tim’s litigation experience ranges from general business litigation and arbitration to intellectual property matters.
With more than fifteen years of law firm experience, I support the Intellectual Property (IP) group by focusing on two main areas:
I conduct initial trademark clearing searches, and prepare and file application papers with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Copyright Office. This work includes preparing and filing applications, assignments and responses to Office Actions.
In tandem with the prosecution of intellectual property, I assist with all aspects of civil actions involving the protection of clients’ IP rights, including preparation of written discovery, managing document production and deposition files and assisting at depositions and trial.
I believe that increasingly companies are seeing the value of product branding and are seeking ways to protect it. I’m also following trends in E-Discovery and the need for dynamic document review tools.
