Maggie Horstman represents clients on trademark protection and enforcement matters and assists clients in resolving trademark disputes.
My focus
I strategically help clients protect and enforce their trademark rights. I assist clients during trademark disputes by drafting and negotiating settlement agreements and handling matters before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. I frequently advise clients about all aspects of trademark prosecution, including clearance and registration, and I assist clients with transactional matters, such as licensing agreements and assignments.
Looking ahead
A broadening digital landscape and increase in social media usage allows consumers to easily share a high volume of information. This intensifies the need for companies to stay vigilant in the protection of their trademarks to prevent infringement and maintain the strength of their brands.
