I have handled matters and secured successful outcomes for clients in cases involving an array of issues, including patent, trade secret, copyright, unfair competition, trademark, trade dress, contractual disputes over IP, and consumer product disputes. I understand how technology disputes evolve and have handled every aspect of litigation, from pre-suit offensive and defensive strategic planning through jury trial, post-trial, and appeals, which enables me to provide valuable counsel at every step of a case. I have litigated cases filed in district courts throughout the country, as well as with the International Trade Commission (ITC) and the USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
Clients in a spectrum of industries benefit from my deep technical knowledge and representative experience, including the tech, energy and natural resources, chemical and industrial products, and automotive sectors. I have, for example, specific experience in litigating cases involving health- and fitness-monitoring wearable technologies, chipset configurations, memory controllers, software vulnerability detection systems, industrial chemical products, antibody therapeutics, and autonomous driving video capture and processing technologies.
I am keeping a keen eye on how companies are implementing AI in countless ways among industry sectors. As for legal implications, companies will need to continue to develop, modify, and use robust and multi-faceted intellectual property strategies — offensive and defensive — that incorporate a savvy combination of patents, trade secrets, and copyright.
