Introduction
My focus
As a seasoned trial lawyer, I have served as lead counsel in dozens of patent infringement, trademark infringement, and trade secret cases throughout the United States. I have successfully tried cases involving a broad range of technologies, including electronics, computer systems, medical devices, and consumer products. I am a zealous advocate for my clients. My success in the courtroom has allowed me to negotiate many settlements without going to trial. My representation includes a two-week trial in the Western District of Pennsylvania for a large university that resulted in a jury verdict of willful patent infringement and damages, resulting in an eight-figure damage award for the client. As lead counsel for a patent owner, I also successfully obtained a preliminary injunction before the Southern District of New York that resulted in the court enjoining the accused infringer from selling the accused product.
Additionally, I have significant experience representing clients in USPTO trials and appeals, including inter partes reviews and ex parte reexaminations. As lead counsel for a patent owner, I successfully argued an appeal of four ex parte reexaminations before the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
In addition to my law practice, I have served on the board of several nonprofit organizations. I previously served as president of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association. I also previously served as co-president of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California, board advisor of the Public Interest Foundation - South Asian Bar Association, and on the Board of Governors of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
