Introduction
My focus
I represent clients in project finance transactions, including sale-leasebacks, partnerships flips, and purchase and sale transactions. My practice focuses on the renewable energy tax credits generated by such projects, which includes implementation of the tax credit provisions enabled by the Inflation Reduction Act. My work on these transactions includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating primary transaction documents and conducting the necessary due diligence to ensure transactions run smoothly and efficiently, as well as overall project management.
Looking ahead
With the passage of the groundbreaking 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, I see the continued growth of private-sector investments in clean energy infrastructure driving a full-scale transition away from fossil fuels. The tax incentives created through the Inflation Reduction Act, including the expansion of the Investment Tax Credit and the newly created 48E bonus credits, offer exciting and meaningful opportunities for investors to leverage the tax code to facilitate a more equitable energy future while continuing to grow their bottom lines.
