Los Angeles, CA. Nixon Peabody LLP continues to expand its Corporate practice with the addition of investment management attorney Benedict Kwon, who joins the firm as partner in the Los Angeles office.
Ben will join the Private Equity & Investment Funds group and will be the co-leader of the Investment Funds group. Ben’s practice focuses on the formation and regulatory requirements of private investment funds using a variety of strategies including private equity, venture capital, credit, real estate, and cryptocurrency. He brings extensive experience advising clients on matters related to the Investment Advisers Act, the Investment Company Act, and the Securities Act.

Ben earned his JD from Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and his BA from the University of Illinois. He is currently co-chair of the American Bar Association subcommittee on Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds, and previously served as vice chair of the California Bar Association committee on partnerships and LLCs.
