Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody LLP has named Susan Bileschi Tripi as the AmLaw 100 law firm’s new Chief Financial Officer.
Susan will work closely on Nixon Peabody’s day-to-day financial functions, managing the Finance team and maintaining its role in providing exceptional client service, both internally and externally. She will also play a key role in assessing the potential of innovative technologies that can supplement the firm’s business operations.
“Susan has had a long and impactful career with our firm, and we’re thrilled for her to take on this role,” said Stephen D. Zubiago, Nixon Peabody CEO and Managing Partner. “She exemplifies our firm’s high-performing culture while prioritizing mentorship and collaboration with colleagues.”
Reporting to Nixon Peabody Chief Operating Officer Rich McCarthy, Susan is a familiar face within the firm, having served as controller from 2006 to 2024. The firm promoted McCarthy to COO in November 2024 after serving as CFO.
“Given her experience, her great work, and her strong reputation and relationships within the firm, Susan is a natural fit for our CFO role,” said McCarthy. “I look forward to continuing to work alongside her as we accelerate profitability and drive future success at the firm.”
Prior to joining Nixon Peabody in 2006, Susan served as comptroller of the Rochester (New York) City School District for several years. She earned her master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Rochester Simon Business School and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Dayton.
