I focus on compliance and regulatory matters and corporate transactions for healthcare entities. Prior to practicing law, I was a healthcare consultant helping healthcare organizations achieve efficiency in providing care. My experience in the industry allows me to understand the concerns and challenges of healthcare clients and their employees.

Regulatory Compliance

I advise clients on a variety of healthcare regulatory issues including HIPAA regulations, state licensure requirements, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and general Medicare and Medicaid compliance matters.

Labor and Employment

I advise healthcare employers on a variety of labor and employment matters including defending against Title VII claims, union avoidance efforts, and collective bargaining agreement negotiations.

Healthcare Transactions

I assist healthcare providers on various transactional needs, including drafting provider contracts, professional services agreements, and general corporate agreements needed to achieve compliance with state and federal regulations.

/Looking ahead

The healthcare system is complex and highly regulated. Digital health and telemedicine will continue to expand and change the manner in which care is provided. This requires providers to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as new legislation and regulations about technology in healthcare delivery are implemented.
