Mambwe Mutanuka is an associate in the Healthcare group. She represents healthcare providers in various regulatory and transactional matters.
I focus on transactional and regulatory matters for healthcare providers, private equity firms, and others in the health services, technology, and life sciences industries. The scope of my work includes joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. I also assist clients with general corporate law and governance issues.
Prior to practicing law, I served as a corporate director of contracting in governance, risk, and compliance for a large nonprofit healthcare system. In my role, I partnered with in-house and external counsel, executives, and other subject matter experts to ensure corporate objectives were achieved during contract negotiations. My corporate experience allows me to serve clients with their regulatory and transactional needs while maintaining a unique perspective on business operational needs.
The legal and regulatory landscape continues to evolve to address the multitude of risks associated with the emerging technology healthcare market. I anticipate the continued entry of non-healthcare technology companies into the healthcare technology space, particularly at the consumer level. Federal and state laws, regulations, and policies will continue to evolve in direct response to this ever-changing environment. Companies will need to maintain robust yet nimble compliance and security policies to accommodate these changes.
