New York, NY. Nixon Peabody LLP is proud to have advised Aser Ventures, a pioneering investment platform focused on sports, media, and technology, on the sale of its ELEVEN Sports Network global sports media businesses to DAZN Group, an international leader in direct-to-consumer sports streaming.
Eleven Sports, which includes US-based social media creative agency Team Whistle, is a global sports media leader that delivers world-class entertainment and engages fans through its groundbreaking digital platforms. The sale enhances DAZN’s social media and fan engagement capabilities, further expands its audience reach, and positions the company as the largest European holder of sports rights.
“All of us at NP are really pleased to have worked with the innovative team at Aser on the combination of its ahead-of-the-curve ELEVEN Sports with DAZN, a transaction that establishes the premier global destination for sports entertainment,” said Corporate partner David R. Brown, who led the Nixon Peabody deal team that advised Aser and ELEVEN Sports on US M&A, antitrust, and finance aspects of the transaction. “This complex, multinational deal required the highly coordinated efforts of our team, our partner law firms in other countries, and it speaks to the strength of Nixon Peabody’s global reach.”
In addition to Brown, the core Nixon Peabody deal team includes partner David Martland, counsel Brian Whittaker, associates Jennifer Jovcevski and Marc Zhang, and Director of Global Strategies, David Kaufman, among many others across the firm.
