Los Angeles, CA. Real Estate partner Bryan LeRoy has been named as one of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Top 100 Lawyers of Los Angeles,” which recognizes the region’s most influential attorneys for their legal achievements and impact on their communities and the legal profession.
Bryan leads Nixon Peabody’s work on West Coast land use and is part of a California Real Estate Practice Group that collaborates on projects and properties throughout the state, including real estate transactions, financing, environmental compliance and remediation, permitting, tax credits, and other aspects of land ownership and development. He has built a thriving California legal practice in representing private and public entities in zoning, land use, environmental compliance, energy and infrastructure, and other property development matters.
Bryan started his legal career with a prominent municipal law firm as a contract city attorney for several municipalities in Southern California. This vantage point helped him gain a deep understanding of municipal code provisions, interpretations, and enforcement. He leverages that municipal experience to counsel his clients about property rights, entitlement strategy, land use permits, zoning approvals, and environmental concerns. He has established himself as a go-to resource for legal questions about the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Outside of the firm, Bryan is an active member of the Los Angeles business community and has an unflagging commitment to the people he serves. He has served on the LA Conservation Corps Board of Directors for nearly 14 years, with prior stints as board chair and president, and chair of the Programs Committee. He is also a member of the executive committee of the LA Economic Development Corp (LAEDC).
Bryan received the Top 100 Lawyers recognition at a Los Angeles Business Journal ceremony on April 18 in Los Angeles.
