Introduction
Stratton Constantinides represents clients on all aspects of environmental and energy matters to ensure compliance with regulations under state and federal laws.
My focus
I utilize my background in biological sciences to focus on environmental and energy due diligence, identifying and assessing potential environmental liabilities at local, state, and federal levels. I have extensive experience in complex environmental matters, including regulatory and private actions under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), California Hazardous Substance Account Act (HSAA), Clean Water Act, and Clean Air Act involving the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), California State and Regional Water Boards and the Department of Toxic Substances Control. Additionally, I have represented a wide range of public and private entities, including county and city municipalities, in administrative enforcement, regulatory compliance, and civil litigation in both state and federal venues.
Additional areas of focus for my practice include land use, regulatory compliance, maritime compliance, and risk management.
Looking ahead
During the next decade of environmental law, we will see an increasing focus on environmental remediation and mitigation and the transition to green and renewable forms of energy in the efforts to redevelop properties for beneficial uses and combat climate change issues. Accordingly, it is crucial to have an in-depth understanding of these issues as they relate to the ongoing evolution of legal and regulatory compliance on both the state and federal levels, as we move toward a more eco-friendly society.
