Counsel
Barrett is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York, and will be supervised by attorneys admitted to practice in Chicago.
I advise financial institutions, funds, finance companies, and other providers of capital in structuring, negotiating, and documenting complex domestic and cross-border commercial finance transactions, including senior and subordinate credit facilities, acquisition financings, and asset-backed and other structured financings with a particular focus on fund finance subscription-based credit facilities.
I advise clients with a variety of general corporate matters, including corporate governance and compliance matters.
I think market participants are still absorbing the impact of somewhat limited supply in the subscription facility market. Borrowers are getting used to the new normal in terms of interest rates and other terms on the subscription line market. Lenders are adjusting to new capital retention requirements and regulatory provisions. I expect that as things stabilize within the subscription lending market demand is only going to continue.
This roundup of legal industry moves in the Chicago region includes the NP arrival of Global Finance counsel Barrett Wilson-Murphy.
